Are you tired of playing the game called school? Are you bored in class? Are you not getting satisfying answers when you ask, “Why do we have to learn this?” Are you getting too much homework when you’ve already learned everything in class? Is school so irrelevant that you’ve already checked out? You’re not alone. The Apogee School was created by former gifted students who were just as frustrated as you are. School doesn’t have to be that way, and we are proving it every day in every class. We think students should love school. We think students should be challenged, but not overloaded. Being gifted ourselves, we know how hard it can be at times, but we also know how great it can be.
The first thing you’ll likely notice about our school is how much freedom our students have to simply be themselves. You’ll also notice that we have a very comfortable tight-knit community of students and staff that love being together. We all know what it’s like to be outliers, so each member of our community protects everyone else. As a result, there’s virtually no bullying because everyone belongs and everyone matters.
The primary focus of our school is to do what’s best for our students – always. When you feel safe and supported, you will thrive. Our classes will challenge you, but you will find them engaging and satisfying. Doesn’t that sound like what school should be? We think so.
Once you prove that you know a concept, we move on. No busywork.
